End of the World

Outfit Rundown:
Top - Second Hand
Leggings - Gift from a friend
Boots - Ebay
St.Peters Cross ring - Drop Dead Clothing

I am finally back with an actual fashion post! ;D

A quick update!

Hello! It is amazing how fast time flies by, it has somehow been 2 months since I updated on here or Lookbook! How did that happen you ask? Well, the sad truth is that I am a giant, giant weeaboo loser and I was too busy preparing for Sakuracon to do anything else, including sleeping and having a social life.

Now that con is over I am going to provide a nerdy update filled with cosplay, anime, kigurumis, and video games then my blog will return to its regularly scheduled fashion posting! (Unless there is for some reason some sort of overwhelming interest in my extreme nerdiness, then I may throw a few of these posts in every once in a while).

I have been attending anime conventions and cosplaying since high school, junior or senior year I think (unless you count the Sailor Moon costume I had when I was around 7 as my first cosplay). I kind of had put cosplay on the back burner for a year or so but my passion for it came back in full force this year! *my con photos were all taken by either by me, Ariel or my boyfriend!

Pre con madness!

Almost a whole group shot. We're missing 3 people.

My Magical Girl Pretty Sammy costume.

My Alice: Madness Returns costume.

Layer 11: Infornography

Outfit Rundown:
Top - H&M
Mesh top - Hot Topic
Leggings - Actual Pain
Boots - Ebay

I love these leggings. Actually, I love all leggings. They are so comfortable. They are far superior to pants in comfort without looking sloppy like sweat pants. Its probably about time I invest in a few new pairs of them so I'm not just wearing the same 3 pairs to classes every day. Oh, I also hit 1,000 fans on Lookbook the other day! This is pretty exciting for me. I'm moving up into the big numbers! ;P

Star Sailor

Outfit Rundown:
Top - Dolly+Delly
Skirt - Forever 21
Shoes - Demonia
Horns - Kreepsville666
Wig - Kikyow

Ariel and I finally received our Taobao order a little while ago so I have been super excited to wear some of my new clothing and accessories. Especially my new wigs. I got the one pictured above and a gorgeous long black wig. Do you guys like wearing wigs? I feel sort of odd wearing them to places like school and work but I think they are so nice for lazy days when I don't want to do my hair.
I also have a small obsession with sailor themed clothing and couldn't pass up that top when I saw it, especially since the bunny rabbit is just so friggin adorable. Its a lot more cutesy than my normal style but I am determined to make it work in my wardrobe.

Drop Dead

Outfit Rundown:
Dress - Drop Dead
Longsleeve shirt - Hot Topic

This day was the first and probably only time we are going to get any snow this winter in Portland so Ariel and I had to go out and take some photos in it!
The dress I am wearing was a Christmas present from my boyfriend. I have always wanted a long dress like that but hadn't gotten around to buying one myself! I am actually wearing it backwards! The print is supposed to be on the back but I thought it looked better on the front and the neckline is identical on the front and back, so I figured why not wear it this way.

New Years!

On big drinking holidays like New Years and St.Patrick's Day I generally try to avoid all the chaos, raised prices, drama and insanity of big parties and events so for this New Years Eve Matt, Ashlee, Josh and I all went to a smaller rave called New Yearsy Shore. It was thrown by the same people who threw the party we went to last year! It was Jersey Shore themed, if you couldn't guess by its title.

This was probably the best New Years I have had yet. It was at the same venue it was at last year but this year it had indoor tire swings, giant stuffed animals to sit with on a ton of mattresses and couches and a hot tub filled with packing foam! The packing foam hot tub is probably the most brilliant idea I have ever seen.

I hope everyone else had a great New Years also!

Through the Gash + Newcon Fashion Show

Just before New Years there was a small first year anime convention in Portland called Newcon, which replaced the old New Years con Mewcon. Several of the local Portland lolitas organized a lolita fashion show for the convention and I joined the people from our local community who volunteered to model. They needed gothic lolita models so it was a perfect excuse for me to wear my new Putumayo jsk.

I went to the show with Ariel and Brittni (pictured above). The show ended up being quite fun and better put together than the fashion show I had been in at a much larger con! Below is a picture of me in the show taken by Tom Good and *here* is a link to all the rest of his amazing photos from the fashion show if you are interested!
